Our relationship with you and your child is about more than academic success. It's about giving your child ways to succeed beyond the classroom.

At heart & soul, we truly strive to build the foundation of lifelong skills that our students apply to not just to their studies, but their approach to new challenges, roadblocks, and their unique longer-term goals. In fact, one of the most satisfying aspects of our work is watching your children blossom into confident, curious, and resilient learners during our time together. 

We know choosing the right support for your child comes with lots of questions, and we’re here to help make the process clear and comfortable. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions families have about our programs, approach, and what to expect.

Who do you work with?
We support students in grades K–5, with a focus on helping learners build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and experience success in and beyond the classroom. We partner closely with teachers and families to ensure each child receives personalized, compassionate support.

We offer tutoring in core academic areas, including:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Math
  • Study Skills & Executive Functioning
  • Homework support (when appropriate)

We believe communication is essential. Families receive regular updates on progress, strategies that are working, and areas we are strengthening. Communication typically includes:

  • Brief updates after sessions (as needed)
  • Periodic progress check-ins
  • Availability for questions or concerns via Voxer


We make sure families feel informed, supported, and part of the learning process.

Remote sessions allow us to support students from anywhere while providing an engaging, interactive learning experience from the comfort of home. This flexible format helps maintain consistency, maximize instructional time, and build strong, meaningful connections between students and tutors.

In addition to academic support, online tutoring helps students develop essential digital literacy and 21st-century skills. Through interactive tools, guided practice, and secure digital platforms, students learn to confidently navigate online learning environments, use educational technology effectively, communicate and problem-solve in digital spaces, and build independence and adaptability.

Remote learning not only makes tutoring more accessible, but also prepares students to be lifelong learners who can thrive in today’s tech-forward world.

Yes. Every child is unique, and we tailor our sessions to address each learner’s specific needs. Whether it’s confidence, reading comprehension, math gaps, writing struggles, executive functioning, or something else, we create a personalized plan to target those areas.
We can! Homework support is available when it fits the student’s learning plan. However, our primary goal is to build skills, confidence, and independence — not just complete assignments. When homework time is included, we use it as an opportunity to reinforce key skills and strengthen understanding.
